LPS Mayfair & Sixth ISI Inspection 2025
From 7–9 October 2025, the Independent Schools Inspectorate visited LPS Mayfair and LPS Sixth, meeting students and staff across all three of our pathways: Day, Hybrid and Sixth Form.
We are delighted to share that we met all the Independent School Standards — the strongest possible outcome under the current ISI framework.
A Positive Endorsement and a Wonderful Outcome for Our School
This result reflects not only compliance, but the depth of culture, care and purpose that define our school.
“The school’s values… are understood well by students.”
ISI, October 2025
Across all pathways, inspectors saw confident learners, strong relationships and a community grounded in collaboration, creativity, courage and compassion.
What “Standards Met” Means — And Why It Matters
Since the ISI framework changed in 2023, inspections have become significantly more demanding. Schools are no longer awarded graded outcomes such as Excellent or Good. Instead, they must show that they fully meet every individual standard. If even one area does not meet the requirement, the overall judgement reflects that.
In this context, achieving “standards met” across all areas is a meaningful accomplishment.
It confirms:
-
strong, consistent leadership
-
secure, well-understood safeguarding
-
high-quality teaching and curriculum planning
-
students who are well supported
-
systems and values that are lived day to day
As we shared with parents, under the revised framework meeting all standards “is no small feat”.
This outcome is a confident endorsement of our values, our leadership and our modern approach to education.
Learn Like a Londoner

“Learn Like a Londoner” is the shared philosophy across all London Park Schools. It captures an attitude to learning that is:
-
modern and relevant
-
connected to real experiences
-
enriched by opportunities beyond the classroom
-
grounded in shared values
-
delivered within small, personal school communities with wide horizons
Inspectors saw this throughout the school and across all streams — in the tone of teaching, the confidence of our students and the strength of relationships throughout the school.
A School That's Calm, Purposeful and Supportive
Inspectors recognised the clarity, consistency and warmth that shape daily life.
“Students behave well and understand the importance of respect for all.”
“Students communicate clearly and with confidence.”
“Students engage in their work with determination.”
They praised teaching that is well planned and responsive to individual needs, and noted the strength of relationships across year groups. The atmosphere was described as calm, inclusive and purposeful — a school where students feel grounded and ready to learn.
A Transformational Hybrid Offer
Our Hybrid stream is a distinctive and growing part of LPS Mayfair. Inspectors highlighted its thoughtful design and positive impact.
“Leaders have put robust procedures in place to ensure that students who learn mainly online are safe.”
“Dedicated online lessons deepen students’ knowledge and understanding.”
“Attendance for hybrid learners is checked rigorously.”
They recognised the careful planning, strong staff training and the way Hybrid helps students reconnect with learning, rebuild confidence and sustain belonging.
Hybrid continues to demonstrate its value as a flexible, well-supported pathway for students who benefit from a different structure.
LPS Sixth — Focused, Individual, with strong Preparation for the Future
At LPS Sixth, inspectors saw maturity, ambition and a clear sense of direction among our oldest students.
“Sixth Form students receive individualised and structured support in the careers programme.”
Students communicated with confidence, took responsibility for their learning and showed real clarity about their next steps.
LPS Sixth is a place where young people grow as individuals and prepare confidently for university and life beyond school.
Strong Teaching, Curriculum & Support Across All Pathways
Inspectors praised the quality of education across Day, Hybrid and Sixth:
-
well-planned lessons
-
a broad, sequenced curriculum
-
clear routines
-
helpful, structured feedback
-
excellent SEND and EAL support
“Lessons are carefully planned, helping students make good progress.”
“The curriculum is broad, well sequenced and accessible, including for students who learn mainly online.”
“SEND students are supported well to access the curriculum and wider school life.”
These findings highlight the consistency, care and ambition that underpin learning across the school.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing - Students Are Safe, Seen and Supported
Safeguarding was recognised as strong and carefully led.
“Leaders with responsibility for safeguarding have a deep understanding of contextual risks.”
“Monitoring and filtering of online activity is effective and regularly reviewed.”
“Staff make safeguarding reports without delay.”
Inspectors also highlighted positive behaviour, respectful relationships and pastoral care that helps students feel known and supported.
Leadership & Governance is Responsive and Values-Led
Leadership was described as reflective and community-minded, with a clear sense of direction and strong communication.
“Leaders listen carefully to students, staff and parents.”
“Governors maintain effective oversight and meet regularly with students and staff.”
Inspectors recognised the strength and coherence of systems across the school and the sense of purpose shared by the whole community.
One Recommendation — Already in Motion
Inspectors made a single recommendation:
“Ensure younger students’ views and needs are fully considered in planning careers advice.”
This work is already underway within our Years 7–9 programme.
A Community that is led by, and lives its Values
Inspectors saw students who understand and live the London Park Schools’ values of Collaboration, Creativity, Courage and Compassion.
Relationships across the school were described as positive and supportive:
“Relationships between students… are warm and understanding.”
“Students voice their views and opinions thoughtfully and with confidence.”
Visitors often comment on the calm and friendly feel of the school, and inspectors recognised this too:
“Students behave well and understand the importance of respect for all.”
What Our Leaders Say
Dr Adrian Rainbow, Head of LPS Mayfair, Hybrid & Sixth
“This report captures the community we see every day: students who feel known, teachers who understand them, and a culture shaped by shared values.”
Suzie Longstaff, Managing Director, Dukes Education (London Schools South & Central)
“Smaller settings, personal relationships and a modern educational outlook are helping our students thrive. This is a wonderful moment for the whole LPS group. With LPS Clapham judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted last year, and now LPS Mayfair, Hybrid and Sixth meeting all ISI standards, all London Park School pathways are not only delivering something genuinely exciting, but doing it really well.”
Overall - A School Community Moving Forward with Purpose and Confidence
This ISI report reflects a school where students feel safe, supported and known. It highlights teaching that helps students learn with confidence, relationships that give them a sense of belonging, and leadership that listens carefully and acts with clarity.
The inspection confirms that we are:
-
confident and inclusive
-
values-led and forward-looking
-
small in scale and rich in opportunity
-
thriving across all three pathways
We are proud of our students, staff and families — and excited for what comes next.
