We are delighted to share the news that Mrs Heidi Armstrong has been appointed as the new Head of LPS Mayfair and LPS Sixth, taking up the role formally in September 2026 on the departure of Dr Adrian Rainbow.
Mrs Armstrong brings extensive senior leadership experience and a deep understanding of London education, most recently as Head of Senior School at Putney High School. Heidi is deeply respected across London’s education sector, known for her thoughtful approach and her commitment to helping young people grow with confidence and purpose.
Mrs Armstrong has been working with London Park Schools over the past year on curriculum development, student experience and the design of learning environments. Through this work, she has already formed strong connections with our staff and met many of our students. She has seen first-hand what makes LPS distinctive: our kindness, our curiosity and our ambition for every individual.
The fact that she has already been working with our staff this year and has had the chance to get to know many of our students, means she joins us with a level of insight and connection that is rare at the point of appointment.
On her appointment, Mrs Armstrong said,
‘Having spent time with students and staff, I realised very quickly what a magical place LPS Mayfair and LPS Sixth is. I am so delighted to be joining this school as its next Head and working with closely with all members of the school community to take the school forward. I am very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to getting to know all our families over the next few months.’
Mrs Armstrong understands who we are, what we value and the direction in which LPS is moving and she believes in it. We are fortunate to have her, and our community will benefit greatly from her calm, purposeful and compassionate leadership.
There will be a smooth transition between Dr Adrian Rainbow and Mrs Armstrong over the coming terms and our intention is that parents will have the opportunity to get to know Mrs Armstrong well before she joins fully in September.
We are delighted to welcome her, and confident that the school will be in very strong hands.
