We are delighted to share that London Park School Clapham has received a special mention for Diversity and Inclusion in Sport at the 2026 Education Choices Awards.
Following the announcement earlier this year that London Park School Clapham had been named a finalist in four categories at the Education Choices Awards 2026, we are delighted to share that the school has now received a special mention for Diversity and Inclusion in Sport.
LPS Clapham was initially shortlisted across four areas: Developing Student Voice, Enveloping EDI in the Curriculum, Inclusive SEN Provision, and Diversity and Inclusion in Sport. The breadth of these nominations recognised the school’s progressive approach to creating an inclusive, ambitious and student-centred education.
With the final results now announced, LPS Clapham’s approach to Diversity and Inclusion in Sport has received particular recognition, with the school awarded a special mention alongside Lancing College and Tormead School.
At LPS Clapham, we believe sport should offer something for every student. Rather than focusing solely on traditional team sports or competitive success, our programme is designed around participation, variety and opportunity, encouraging students to discover activities they enjoy, develop new skills and experience the wider benefits of being active.
This approach closely reflects the Education Choices Awards criteria for Diversity and Inclusion in Sport, which recognise the range of sporting opportunities available to students and how schools support young people to access sports they may not previously have experienced.
“We’re incredibly proud to receive this special mention. Our aim is to create a sporting culture in which every student feels able to get involved, try something new and find an activity that works for them. Sport has an important role to play in helping young people build confidence, friendships and resilience, and we want every student to experience those benefits.”

This recognition is a fantastic endorsement of the work of our students and staff, and of our commitment to making sport at LPS Clapham an inclusive, engaging and positive experience for every student.
