Why Choose LPS Clapham

LPS Clapham is giving the education sector a much-needed shake-up.

We’re deliberately smaller

Our smaller size creates an intimate, personal environment for students to feel seen, heard and appreciated, while offering the resources and expertise of the wider group. This, we believe, is the key to helping students enjoy their education and to aid their growth into well-rounded, articulate individuals.

We are a strong community

The combination of excellent pastoral care, our vertical tutor groups, strong year groups, house system and opportunities to collaborate with our sibling school, LPS Mayfair, means that every student feels not just part of their form or year group, but the wider LPS community.

We look at each child as an individual

Being smaller means we can tailor our offer and the way we teach to the needs of each child. Whether it’s extension or additional help when needed, we ensure that every student is stretched and supported to the best of their abilities.

We’re future facing

We look to the future to see the challenges that will face our students in the future and the skills needed.  We are small enough to pivot and be flexible when required and can try new strategies and take advantage of new opportunities.

Exams matter, but they’re not the whole story

Of course GCSEs matter – and we prepare our students well. However we know that education is so much more than tests. Our focus is on preparing students for what comes next. This is a thread that runs through every element of our school. We understand results are important, but our teaching goes beyond that and is designed to give students the skills and knowledge needed to succeed and lead in an everchanging world.

Happiness breeds success

Happiness is the bedrock of our school. We care about each other.  Our broad, experiential approach fosters teamwork, critical thinking, flexbility, courage and resilience.  Our smaller size and the importance of our community means that kindness and compassion are evident in all we do.

We are a happy community.  We’d love to tell you more.
