London Park School Clapham named in Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2026

London Park School Clapham is celebrating after being commended as the Small Independent School of the Year at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2026.

Run by Independent School Parent, the awards celebrate excellence across the independent education sector, with hundreds of schools from across the UK entering this year. The judges reported a record number of entries for 2026, making recognition at the commended stage particularly significant.

The Small Independent School of the Year award recognises the distinctive contribution smaller schools make, and the exceptional educational experiences they create for their students.

At London Park School Clapham, being a smaller school is central to our approach. It allows us to know every student as an individual, providing a highly personalised education where young people are supported, challenged and encouraged to make the most of every opportunity.

The commendation recognises the strength of our approach, combining the warmth, personal attention and strong sense of community of our tight knit community, with an ambitious curriculum and a wealth of opportunities in and beyond the classroom.

The recognition adds to an exciting year of accolades for London Park School Clapham. Earlier in 2026, the school was named in Talk Education’s prestigious Top 250 UK Schools list and shortlisted in four categories at the Education Choices Awards, where it also received a special mention for Diversity and Inclusion in Sport. The wider London Park Schools group was also named Most Innovative Secondary School Group in London at the LUXlife Private Education Awards 2026, reflecting its fresh, forward-thinking approach to secondary education.

Being commended as Small Independent School of the Year is another important endorsement of London Park School Clapham’s belief that small schools can offer a big education, creating an environment where every student is known, valued and empowered to thrive.
