Creative arts

Neighboured by the storied West End, it’s no surprise that LPS Mayfair has a rich and flourishing creative arts offering.

Music

We offer group and individual tuition, taught by working musicians, who alongside their work at LPS are performing at the highest level, touring with household name artists or playing in leading orchestras. Students choose from a broad range of instruments, from piano and vocals to drums, trumpet and saxophone, while bands, choirs and regular concerts ensure there are ample opportunities to perform. In addition to instruments, students bring their creativity to composition and music production. LPS Mayfair students are the proud winners and current reigning champions of the Independent Schools Association composer competition three years running. Lessons frequently take students to the best that London has to offer to learn the industry first-hand; professional recording studios, west end theatres and renowned music venues, such as the Royal Albert Hall.

Art

Students explore a range of mediums and techniques in our lofty, light filled art studio. To offer students every opportunity to tap into their creativity, students enjoy internal and external workshops hosted by experts in that craft. To learn from the greats, and foster inspiration and imagination, students venture beyond our doors to the finest galleries and studios – big and small.

Drama

Whole-school productions, seasonal showcases and GCSE and A Level performances mean it’s an exciting calendar of performance at LPS Mayfair. Whether on stage or behind the scenes students are exposed to the range of opportunities in performance and hopefully finding a craft where their creativity can flourish. Major productions take place at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, allowing students to work in an industry level setting. Key to our drama offering is group and individual tuition in LAMDA, a world-leading drama school, training and inspiring exceptional artists for over 160 years.
