Curriculum

The Curriculum at LPS Mayfair

The curriculum at LPS Mayfair empowers students with confidence and compassion to chart their own course. While excellence in exams and results matter, student wellbeing remains paramount. We challenge high-achievers to reach their full potential, while providing unwavering support to those who need it most.

A Coaching Culture

At LPS Mayfair, we’re driven by a coaching culture. We believe that only when we’re inspired, engaged and motivated, can we maximise creativity, enjoyment and performance at school. Through this shared mindset, we frame mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve, building resilience and creating a safe space for maximum creativity and curiosity.

Experiential Learning

We’re passionate about learning by doing. Our curriculum is designed to immerse students in practical activities, allowing them to reflect on their choices, learn from mistakes, and gain real-world experience.

Learning is made relevant and meaningful both inside and beyond the classroom walls. Our central London location means that the city’s outstanding choice of museums, galleries and green spaces are just a short walk, bus or tube away. And our smaller size gives the freedom and flexibility to make the most of this often, enhancing students’ understanding of real work application. We also offer opportunities to explore further afield, including trips abroad, making education tangible and captivating.

Mayfair MADness

In a world of increased automation, the human ability to express yourself creatively will become ever more important. Our Music, Arts and Drama classes not only give students the opportunity to show artistic expression, helping create inventive, innovative, and imaginative work, but reinforce teamwork and collaboration.

We offer both group and individual tuition including a range of instruments and LAMDA.

Once a year, we hold MADness – a festival of music, art and drama performances from across all year groups. We encourage everyone to play a part, if not on stage, then behind the scenes and use the facilities of RADA to host our main production. Our annual winter concert encourages self-expression and is a reminder of the collaborative joy of music making.
