Moving on to LPS Sixth

LPS Mayfair students move on to LPS Sixth for A Levels, a short walk from Victoria station, where they join students from LPS Clapham and other schools.

From Year 10 onwards, students spend time at the Sixth form for taster tessons, careers days and other events in conjunction with their counterparts from LPS Clapham. This helps ensure that the Sixth form is a familiar place and that the transition to Sixth form is smooth and seamless, creating a fresh start with the reassurance of familiarity

As part of the preparation for A Levels, students meet the Director of Sixth Form, Mr Nathan Mountford, to ensure we know every student’s strengths, weaknesses, hopes, and aspirations; we want to know who they are and where they aspire to go. We work closely with each student to help them make the decision that’s right for them.

We want to be sure that they will thrive at this level so we usually ask for a minimum of Grade 6 in subjects related to the options someone wants to pursue further. We ask for a Grade 7 in GCSE maths for anyone wishing to study Maths at A Level.
