Alongside our personalised A level programme, EPQ and wider enrichment curriculum, we provide a comprehensive programme of university, degree apprenticeship and careers preparation, designed to ensure that every student leaves LPS Sixth confident, informed and well prepared for their next step.
We deliberately encourage students to consider the full range of opportunities available to them. For some, this will mean applying to leading universities in the UK; for others, an international university may provide the best academic and personal fit. Increasingly, students are also considering degree apprenticeships and other high-quality professional pathways, which combine university level study with paid employment and substantial workplace experience. Our role is not to promote one route over another, but to help each student identify the pathway that best matches their ambitions, strengths and future goals.
Support begins early and is highly personalised. Students receive guidance on researching universities, courses, apprenticeships and career sectors, building a strong academic and super-curricular profile, and making informed choices. This includes structured support with UCAS applications, personal statements, references, interview preparation and admissions tests, alongside specialist guidance for students considering Oxbridge, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, competitive degree apprenticeships or universities overseas.
As part of the Dukes Education family, LPS Sixth students also benefit from access to an exceptional network of specialist support. This includes Oxbridge Applications for highly competitive university preparation, The A-List for US and international university applications, The Lawyer Portal and The Medic Portal for students pursuing Law, Medicine and related pathways, and InvestIN for immersive career experiences and professional insight.
