We were delighted to announce that in our second year, we have seen a strong set of results and all our students have received an offer from their university of choice. Students achieved an impressive 31% A*-A grades, 53% A*-B, and 73% A*-C. Notably, the proportion of A* and A grades tripled compared with last year, reflecting the school’s growing academic momentum.
This year’s results showcase the breadth and individuality of LPS Sixth’s ‘Learn Like a Londoner’ approach, with students moving on to study a wide variety of subjects from Biochemistry and Physics, to Law, Politics, Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship and Television and Film and Psychology – mirroring London’s diverse, creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Many students achieved outstanding results, underlining the school’s strong “value added” record and the impact of its bespoke, personalised teaching.
Dr Adrian Rainbow, Head of LPS Mayfair, Sixth and Hybrid noted:
“I’m so proud of this year group. Their results are testament to their tenacity and ambition, attributes which they have exhibited in abundance. London is our classroom, and these results show the power of combining academic excellence with the cultural and professional opportunities on our doorstep.”
Nathan Mountford, Director of Sixth Form added:
“As a sixth form, these results show that when students feel known and supported, they will flourish. Our tailored approach recognises each student’s ambitions, strengths and interests – and helps them turn those into tangible results and exciting next steps. This year’s achievements are proof of that. Our new London Pathways and Flexi Sixth programmes provide the flexibility and innovative structure relevant to students today and I am delighted that our students’ superb results reflect this.”
Whilst all this year’s cohort chose to remain in the UK for university, the school was pleased that so many had a choice of world-class institutions from both the UK and US – with offers from some top American universities, including NYU, UCLA, Northeastern, University of Chicago and University of Miami.
The Class of 2025 is heading to an exciting range of destinations, including the universities of Exeter, King’s College London, Warwick, Brunel, Surrey, Liverpool, City, Royal Holloway College, SOAS, and the University of the Arts London; to the world of work, and with one student securing a Bank of England Apprenticeship.
Student Stories – Adding Value Beyond Grades:
Looking ahead, LPS Sixth’s bespoke ‘London Pathways’ approach will be further enhanced in 2025 with the launch of a new A Level in Design and Technology, expanding creative and technical pathways for future students.
Principal of London Park Schools, Suzie Longstaff, commented:
“These results are a powerful endorsement of our ethos – to craft personal pathways that bring out the best in every student. Our second set of A Level results firmly cements LPS Sixth as a thriving, ambitious and creative hub for post-16 education in London.”
