The House Captains have been running a little charity initiative called the Cups of Kindness, whereby staff and students have been placing orders for little cups of sweets to be delivered to people as a random act of kindness to make someone’s day (some remaining anonymous, some not…). We’re really proud of Vie in Hybrid Y9 who volunteered to help in the making of these cups, contributing to the theme of kindness and compassion in the school.
Students completed 119 individual orders, raising around £300 for charity. Combined with the bake sale from earlier in the year, that makes a total of over £700 raised this year so far, with plenty more events to come. A lovely way to go out to half term spreading a little bit of joy!
And just a reminder to all our Hybrid students, there are plenty of House events, clubs, trips and extra-curricular activities, to take part in. We hear frequently from prospective parents at open days, “Can Hybrid students take part in extracurriculars?”—the answer is a resounding yes. Passion and purpose beyond the classroom are fundamental to our ethos.
