Why Choose a Hybrid Education?

The world has changed and so should education.

LPS Hybrid is a new way forward in education; the opportunity to study at home for four days a week, with one day in school. All taught lessons are live and interactive with a modified timetable to provide a good balance of time on and off screen.

We understand that not all children are able or want, to come into school every day or thrive in a large, busy school. For some children, five days in school can be overwhelming or hard to schedule, whilst for others, a fully online school can be lonely and isolating.  Some need more time to themselves, others prefer to learn at a different pace, others may value time to look at things in more depth or just need a quieter and more reflective way of working.

LPS Hybrid offers a combination of focused, on-line learning with the benefit of the in-school experience – thereby providing children for whom attending school in person may be difficult but who want friends and a community, with the best of both worlds.

With this model, students can have the flexibility and individuality that suits them, whilst also enjoying a strong and supportive community. For some, this is the first step back into day school, whilst for others, being on-line and working in smaller groups is the best way to learn.

Why did you choose LPS Hybrid?

I chose the LPS Hybrid model because it’s the only educational approach that truly aligns with my son’s unique learning needs. It is a forward-thinking model designed for the future, especially in a world where many leading companies are adopting hybrid working structures. The flexibility and personalised learning it offers make it the ideal choice for his educational growth. LPS Hybrid Parent
The LPS Hybrid model offers a perfect blend of in-person and online learning, which helps my son maintain focus and engagement. It allows for a more tailored learning experience, accommodating his pace and style of learning. The hybrid model also fosters independence, critical thinking, and adaptability - skills that are essential for success in both academics and life beyond school. LPS Hybrid Parent

Part of the community

On the days they are in school, students put on our school uniform and blend into the day school community. They have their own space to meet tutors and recharge their batteries and of course, they meet their ‘virtual’ class mates in real life too. Students eat with day school students, attend sport and PE and have the opportunity to stay for clubs and other activities too.

A model for success

Hybrid may not have been at LPS for long, but we know from experience that this way of working, when done well, can help students soar – both academically and personally. In its previous life, most hybrid students outperformed day students and many transitioned back into more traditional day models for sixth form.
