Where next?
We offer all Hybrid students a seamless move on to LPS Sixth in Victoria for A Levels (or from 2026, the option of a BTec in Business Stuides too) where they are joined by students from LPS Mayfair and LPS Clapham as well as students from other schools.
From Year 10 onwards, we create opportunities for students to spend time at the Sixth form for taster tessons, careers days and other events. These are done in conjunction with their counterparts from the day school. This helps ensure that the Sixth form is a familiar place and that the transition to Sixth form is smooth and seamless.
As part of their preparation for Sixth Form studies, all students meet the Director of Sixth Form, Mr Nathan Mountford, along with the Head of Hybrid, to ensure that we understand each student’s strengths, weaknesses, hopes, and aspirations. We work closely with each student to help them make the decision about the next stage that’s right for them – whether that be A Levels, BTec or something else.
We want to be sure that our students will thrive at LPS Sixth so we usually ask for a minimum of Grade 6 in subjects related to the options someone wants to pursue further and ideally, a Grade 7 in GCSE maths for those wanting to study this at A Level.
The subjects offered at LPS Sixth vary from year to year according to individual cohorts, but there is a large choice avaialble. We offer Flexi-Sixth in some subjects.
