Christina and Toffee are the superstars of 79 Eccleston Square, ensuring everyone is made to feel welcome, supported and greeted with a warm smile (and a wagging tail – from Toffee!). We asked Christina what makes LPS a special place to work.
“Bringing Toffee to school is amazing and very generous. Everyone here at LPS seems to enjoy having a furry four-legged colleague at work. Sometimes I joke they hired Toffee and I am just the plus one tagging along.
To me LPS is a caring and personal work environment, which goes hand in hand with being a smaller environment. Pathways are short, it’s an open-door policy and when things have to be sorted, decisions can be made swiftly and effectively, we don’t drown in bureaucracy.
Working as front of house is a joy because I know every student, their patterns and what time they come in. I love their creative stories – why some tubes always seem to have delays, or who has persistent alarm clock issues!
I really enjoy getting to know them and being part of a team that supports the upbringing and education of teenagers. Of course my role is not academically relevant, but I make them feel welcome and ensure the school is a safe and friendly environment – hence there is always a bowl of sweets/ ‘vitamins’ at the reception.”
