The School Day

More informal than school; more structure than college.

Our sixth form provides the perfect bridge between school and university. We expect students to be in school during the day (unless otherwise agreed) and when not in lessons, they have space to study independently in our Independent Study Space, to relax in our Futures Hub or the Common Room.

We run plenty of trips, excursions and have outside speakers who visit us regularly. Preparation for life beyond school and beyond includes opportunities to hear from speakers on a range of topics and learn about finance and more.

Each student’s day is bespoke to them and the subjects they are studying – but everyone has time with a tutor whom they can go with any worries or concerns.

The Head of Sixth form, Nathan Mountford has years of experience with university applications and preparation for universities in the UK, US, Australia and Europe. We run UCAS preparation lessons, visit universities and make the most of being a part of Dukes Education to access the specialist resources of Oxbridge Applications, The Lawyer Portal, Mediportal and AList – as well as InvestIn to help with future careers planning.
